Buying a Used Ute
Before buying a used ute, keep the following things in mind.
-Look around, see as many utes as possible before deciding the one that you want. You will get an idea about the price range and the working condition so that you are ready to haggle if the price quoted is too much.
-Check for the ute's service history. If there isn't any, then no point in wasting your time over the ute.
-Check with the RTA to make sure that the owner selling the ute is a legal seller and there is no outstanding finance on it.
-Have a mechanic look at it to ensure that the ute is in good shape and can be used for some period of time.
-If possible, buy a ute with most of the registration work done on it so that you don't have to shell out extra as soon as you purchase it.
-Ensure that the ute is insured and the insurance also covers you as a driver when you take it for a test drive.
